Stiff Goldenrod (Solidago rigida), also called Prairie Goldenrod or Oligoneuron rigidum, forms sturdy stems topped with broad, flat clusters of yellow flowers. It blooms in late summer and fall, bringing color and pollinator activity to sunny meadows and open uplands. This is a particularly rare native in Maryland, so seed provenance matters.
