Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium) is a warm season native grass with blue green foliage that turns copper and bronze in fall. Its upright clumps add movement and structure to sunny gardens and meadows, and the seed heads provide winter interest.

This adaptable grass grows in dry to medium, well drained soil and handles poor soil and drought once established. It supports butterfly and moth caterpillars, while its seeds offer food for songbirds and small mammals.
